Our league is here to promote tennis and build camaraderie. In light of that here’s some housekeeping details.
- Out balls: Great shots are hit close to the line, and even if the ball barely grazes the line it is IN. The team on the side receiving the shot, has the responsibility to call the ball out or in. If there is any uncertainty, then the ball should be called IN. The team hitting may not call the ball in or out, they can question the call but the final say is the receiving team’s. If there’s strong opposing opinions, please respect the call of the responsible team or ask to play the point over. Our league is intended to promote friendship and camaraderie in a competitive environment sometimes that’s tough. Please find it in your heart to give the benefit of the call to the player that hit the shot. Our league montra is a ball slightly out called in is a kind jester promoting camaraderie but an in ball called out that is in is a huge error.
