No Sub – No Show

Once again, we remind players to click yourself unavailable if you can’t play before 4:00 pm. This includes subs.  Next, please make sure you hit submit and go to the schedule to ensure you’re removed!!!! It normally refreshes quickly but (may be up to 15 minutes depending on internet traffic).   If you did not receive a confirmation email or still on the schedule contact your league coordinator before 4:00PM. If you did not mark yourself off before 4:00 pm and you cannot play, it is YOUR responsibility to find a sub. Please do not call Bill, Valerie, or Bruce. You are responsible for your sub and will be assessed tardiness or absenteeism fees if they don’t show.

We’ve added phone numbers to the schedule.  You can’t change your availability after 4:00PM. Please follow this process:

  1. The System prevents changing your availability to “Can’t Play” after 4PM.  Check the schedule starting with the first available sub, call or text to confirm if they can play – If they CAN”T,  continue to the next player until you find a sub.  Once you find a sub, they will replace you on the schedule, if they do not show up or you can’t find a sub, you’re automatically assessed a No-Show/No-Sub Fee $80!!!!
  2. This league is self-monitoring so it is your option to report late or no-show/no-subs when you report scores.

  1. What do we do about reporting scores on a day when someone doesn’t show up? I just want to make sure it doesn’t default to zero and drop us down. Thank you

Play Canadian doubles 3 sets, one set each as a single player. Enter “Player, Tennis” as your partner for your single set and submit your scores. Please report the No show – No sub player and your comments when submitting scores.

NO Show/No Sub is a big problem we’re trying to eliminate, and we need your help. If the system does not send out the 4PM court assignments (THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM), Most Subs rely on this email/text and do not check the schedule. As a regular player, if you have not received a notice by 5pm game day please call Bruce. As a Sub, please check the schedule on game day between 12:00 and 4:00 to see if you are close to or scheduled to play.

Food for thought, maybe one person from each court could send out a group text to the other three players around 5pm to make sure you are connected and communicate any problem or delays.
